Stony Brook, New York Wedding | Three village Inn

Christine and Tom’s Stony Brook, New York wedding took place at the Three Village Inn which is located at 150 Main Street.

History of the Three Village Inn.

Three Village Inn overlooks Head of the Harbor. The gardens are absolutely stunning, and perfect for a photo op. It has an elegant feel in the old colonial style of Stony Brook, New York. The Three Village Inn was built in 1751 by Richard Hallock, originally called the Old Homestead. From what we saw on the Three Village website it had several owners over the years. They have listed “In 1835, Jonas Smith, one of the country’s most prominent ship owners, purchased Hallock Homestead for use as a summer house. After his death in 1867 the house had a series of owners until 1929 when Mrs. Frank Melville purchased and renovated it for use as a Women’s Exchange.”

People who come to visit the area and would stay at the country inn for Tea, a bite and pick me up. It started in the 1930s era as a “Tea Room” and turned out to be a place guest could stay overnight in 1939.

The venue is used to host brunch, events, weddings such as this one, and also has overnight accommodations. Our past clients rave about the spectacular food, charm and intimacy the Inn has to offer.

Our team recently photographed a beautiful wedding on June 2nd, 2018.

We actually first met Christine and Tom in Washington D.C. When they contacted us, we chatted about an engagement session. They were having their wedding on Long Island but, currently lived in the D.C. area. We happened to be traveling through Washington D.C. and love photographing in different locations, therefore, we send out a list of our travel dates to all of our clients interested in engagement session, in case they want a session in a unique location.  Josh and I had so much fun going to the monuments with Christine and Tom. During an engagement session you really get to see a couple shine. You get to see they way they interact and it’s a good test run for the couple to get used to being in front of the camera prior to their wedding day. Christine and Tom’s Washington D.C. photo session turned out amazing and we were so excited we were able to photograph them in their home area. We were even photo bombed by our current president during their shoot.  To book your engagement session with Organic Moments Photography click here:Organic Moments Photography Engagements Page

Christine and Tom had a stunning wedding with approximately 130 guest. They had 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen. The ceremony took place outside in the garden area with the reception being held inside. They had an amazing choreographed first dance that left their guest in awe. Christine did a lot of DIY planning all the decor herself (all signs, escort cards, centerpiece jars, photos). Christine and Tom said the best part of the wedding day was, “having all of our family together, since it’s rare.”
