Ellie and Curtis were married in a gorgeous wedding at the Cruz Building and it was such an immense honor to be their Miami wedding photographers. When we first met Ellie and Curtis during their Michigan engagement session we had such a great time. We knew then that their wedding at the Cruz Building would be one to remember, and we were not disappointed!

The Cruz Building is such an amazing Miami wedding venue. It is steeped both in luxury and in history. Part of the Cruz Building was actually imported from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. So it not only gives you an authentic New Orleans feeling, but it’s actually a piece of New Orleans itself! In fact, the Cruz Building was originally a New Orleans restaurant. When you enter the venue, it’s like you’ve left South Florida and are transported to New Orleans! With romantic balconies, sweeping terraces and stunning European architecture lit by shimmering crystal chandeliers and antique gas lanterns, a wedding at the Cruz Building is like a wedding right out of a fairy tale! It’s one of the most unique Miami wedding venue options that we’ve photographed.

Ellie and Curtis said they chose to have their wedding at the Cruz Building because of its ornate beauty. It didn’t require a lot of decorations! They were able to have a dream wedding with minimal effort!

We loved how Ellie and Curtis eschewed tradition and opted against having a bridal party. It really made the day more intimate and we got to focus more on the bride, groom and their family. Everything about the wedding day was the perfect blend of sweet emotions and serious fun.
