Emily & Eric’s Riverside Hotel Wedding

Emily and Eric’s love story is a story of love at first sight and then a long wait before finally coming together. Eric first saw Emily at his stepsister’s wedding and fell in love with her. Before he could find out her name and reach out, she had left the party. He kept looking for her, but his efforts went in vain. Years later, Eric’s stepsister Brittany, who had no idea about his feelings, decided to introduce Emily to Eric. On their first date, the moment Eric saw Emily, his happiness knew no bounds. Eventually, he told Emily that he had been looking for her all this time and didn’t want to lose her again. Emily felt the warmth of true love and said her big YES! The two got married at the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale and chose me to be their wedding photographer. I enjoyed photographing their wedding and got some stunning images.

As photographers, we keep shooting weddings at specific venues multiple times, but Riverside Hotel was new for my team and me. We were excited to explore this hotel and the photography opportunities it had to offer. I must say, the venue did not disappoint us. In fact, it was great, and I can’t say enough good things about it. Emily and Eric’s wedding at the Riverside Hotel was perfect. The ceremony was organized at the New River Patio and the cocktail hour was on the Skyline Terrace. The reception was held in the spectacular Himmarshee Ballroom.

The weather was pleasant on the wedding day, but we did have a little sunshower during the ceremony. I loved Emily’s reaction! Instead of getting nervous, she was a sport and enjoyed the shower. She had the most beautiful smile when the rain started falling and the sun shined on her! I got some gorgeous shots of Emily at that moment. In my opinion, the shower made Eric and Emily’s big day extra special!

On a personal note, I want to thank Emily for being so sweet and kind. I had had a miscarriage a week before this wedding. Josh and I had posted about our loss on social media, and Emily had read it. On her wedding day, Emily said she was surprised that I came along with our photography team. She wanted to make sure that I took it easy and kept taking out time to check on me. It really means a lot to have the bride take out time on her big day just to check on you.
