We’ve put together a list of five wedding trends that we’ve seen brides incorporate into their wedding day. Every bride has her own way of planning her wedding but there’s always one or two trends that they include that keeps the wedding contemporary. The following trends will definitely make your wedding one to remember!

Confetti Cannon

Whether you want to establish your presence at your reception or make a grand exit, confetti cannons can do just that. Confetti cannons are a great way to celebrate an entrance or exit and it makes them that much more fun. They always give an element of surprise and it creates for a great moment to capture the looks on the faces of, not only the bride and groom but the guests as well. Confetti cannons come in all different shapes and sizes and you can decorate them with the theme and colors of your wedding. Succulents

Succulents are not only used as home decor, brides are now incorporating them into their wedding days. Brides are replacing roses and peonies with succulents. We’ve seen them as beautiful table decor and even as add-ons on bouquets to make a statement. With summer coming up, succulents are the perfect wedding decor because they’re heat resistant! They also make amazing party favors for your guests that they can later use as decor for their own homes. There are so many different ways to add on these beautiful plants to your wedding decor, it is not limited to bouquets and centerpieces. We even have a large collection of succulents in our own home.

Vintage Red

One accent color we’ve seen that has really caught on is vintage red. We’ve seen brides include it in their table decor or as an accessory to their wedding dress. This color is catching on because of how timeless it is. It’s perfect for an evening wedding and can add elegance and glamour to any setting. Did you know that across almost all cultures, red is considered to be the most attractive color? Vintage red is definitely a statement color and one to remember.

Balloons

Another trend we’ve seen that we love are balloons! We’ve seen them as table centerpieces or a fun prop for wedding party photos. Balloons come in all shapes and colors that make your wedding stand out. You can have balloons in the shape of letters to spell out “MR” and “MRS” or “LOVE”. Transparent balloons are also fun because you can add confetti of any color. The solid color balloons are also great to add color or make a statement. You can include them in your wedding ceremony or reception as decor on the chair or tables. Every bride incorporates the trends differently and in their own creative way.

Destination Weddings That Follow Local Culture

We recently were at a destination wedding in New Orleans and the bride and groom did a second line parade, which is a tradition in NOLA. Adding a local tradition was one of the details that made that wedding memorable for us. One of the beautiful parts of destination weddings is immersing yourselves in the local culture.
