South Florida is one of the most beautiful places to hold your wedding. Whether you want a low key wedding or an extravagant wedding, there are various locations that will cater to your needs perfectly. All wedding venues have their unique style that can stand out to different couples. Deciding on a wedding venue can be one of the most important decisions for your wedding day. The venue can affect the mood and experience at any wedding, which is why we want to make the process easier for you. As a husband and wife photography team, we have shot over 400 weddings in different locations but, if we had to pick, our top five South Florida wedding venues are as followed:
The Addison
One of our favorite venues in Palm Beach County is the Addison in Boca Raton. Built back in the 1920’s, the Addison resembles the vintage elegance and charm one might have experienced back then. Two of the features that really make this South Florida wedding venue stand out are the Banyan trees and the architecture of the estate. The courtyard filled with the Banyan trees is excellent for photographs, along with the Great Room for its breathtaking 1920’s structure. You can see more images from The Addison in our blog post all about Christen and Devin’s wedding.
At the Addison, the staff makes sure each bride’s special day goes just as planned and even better. They help assist with all the wedding planning including assisting with custom-designing the menu to picking the perfect linen for the tables. The wedding planners are ready for any situation and are there to make the day run as smooth as possible. Every bride receives her own “bridal concierge” for her wedding day which makes the wedding day experience that much more amazing and unique. The Addison caters to every bride’s wants and needs for their wedding day. We have only heard glowing reviews on the service at the Addison from all the brides we’ve photographed. Read our blog post on the Periu wedding to see more stunning images from the Addison. Another great aspect of the Addison is the food. The dining experience is amazing for all the guests, including what they serve the vendors. If you’d like to read more about this South Florida wedding venue, read our blog post all about the Addison.
Vizcaya
One of the beautiful historical locations in Miami is the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. The estate was built in the early 20th century and resembles Merrideterian architecture. Vizcaya offers daytime and evening wedding ceremonies. The Italian Renaissance-inspired gardens are breathtaking and make for amazing photographs. Couples can choose to have their wedding ceremony in the gardens or the Courtyard of the Main House. The gardens make a perfect place for an intimate wedding or photo shoot with a beautiful scenery. If you choose to go with the Courtyard of the Main House, you’ll have the Biscayne Bay right next to you. With the architecture and gardens, how can you not love Vizcaya?
Unfortunately, daytime ceremonies are a bit strict. Since this is a museum, ceremonies are restricted to the Gardens. Evening ceremonies are much more flexible. Guests have access to the Courtyard, the outside terraces, and gardens.
If you love art and history, you’ll adore this South Florida wedding venue. It will definitely be a wedding to remember at Vizcaya. You can see more stunning images from the Vizcaya gardens in our blog post all about Erin & John’s wedding.
The Biltmore
If you are looking for a beautiful, vintage fairytale type location stop right here. The Biltmore is another beautiful location in South Florida with a historical charm. Located in Coral Gables, FL, the Biltmore is surrounded by lush greenery and romantic gardens allowing for even more beautiful images. The architecture of the hotel resembles classic Mediterranean styles that give a romantic atmosphere to the wedding day. Even if couples choose to have their wedding indoors at one of the beautiful ballrooms or outdoors at the gardens, the photographs capture the historical elegance they’ll love.
The staff at the Biltmore is a pleasure to work with and will make sure that your day goes as smoothly as possible. The wedding planners available work with the brides through every step of the planning including the catering to decor to ensure the perfect wedding. The staff really gets creative to offer an enchanting ceremony. There are different wedding packages offered that are tailored to brides and their needs.
The setting at the Biltmore was made to create a memorable experience for everyone. From the hand-painted frescoes to the amazing marble columns, everything about this South Florida wedding venue exudes extravagance and elegance.

Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables
Another location in Coral Gables, FL that we love shooting at and makes for the perfect wedding location is the Colonnade Hotel. This South Florida wedding venue includes everything with elegance and class in a modern location. You can choose to exchange your vows under a stunning 60-foot dome in their rotunda with amazing sunlight coming in through the windows or have an evening ceremony under the stars at their rooftop terrace. For the wedding ceremony, you can choose from any of the beautiful ballrooms.
The Colonnade Hotel is definitely a hotel filled with modern luxury. You can see the stunning images from Erin and John’s reception at the Colonnade in this blog post.
Sundy House
If you haven’t noticed yet, we love historical locations and the Sundy House is one of them! It is the oldest house in Delray Beach, Florida and was built back in 1902 by the first mayor of Delray Beach, John Sundy.
The Sundy House is the perfect South Florida wedding venue for an outdoor ceremony. It sits on one acre of botanical gardens and is considered one of the country’s premier wedding locations. You’ll find stunning gazebos and an expansive lawn surrounded by greenery made for exchanging vows. The scenery of this wedding venue will create a peace of mind with all the natural sounds that will surround you on your wedding day. From the chirping of the birds to the trickling of the small waterfalls and streams.
The staff at the Sundy House are great and very friendly. The menu is superb so you won’t be disappointed with the food. The accommodations are wonderful and overall welcoming. We’ve done several weddings here and absolutely enjoy shooting every time we come.
